Lori M. Emrick has devoted her entire legal career to defending health care professionals in medical malpractice claims. The majority of her clients are hospitals in Philadelphia and surrounding areas as well as nurses and doctors in various specialties. Her voluminous caseload primarily involves defending against catastrophic obstetric, orthopedic, pediatric, and cardiac claims. During her more than 14 years of experience, Ms. Emrick has handled all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Emrick was a registered nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital from 1990-1996. While practicing as a nurse, she attended Widener Law School, from which she was awarded her Juris Doctorate.
Ms. Emrick received honors in the field of nursing include membership in Sigma Theta Tau, the Nursing Honor Society, and Phi Delta Phi (Harrington Chapter).
