While in law school, Tara worked as an advocate for victims of domestic violence and represented clients applying for civil protective orders as an extern at a private pro bono practice. She also worked to preserve student’s rights to free and appropriate public education as a member of the Duke Children’s Law Clinic.

In law school, Tara served as a guardian ad litem and worked with a program that taught Mock Trial/public speaking to middle schoolers, activities she hopes to continue in Philadelphia.
