Gary Samms Obtains a Unanimous Defense Verdict on Behalf of a Family Physician

On August 5, 2022, Gary Samms obtained a unanimous defense verdict on behalf of a family physician. Plaintiff had alleged the doctor prescribed incorrect antibiotics and failed to follow up on a patient who had a complicated case of diverticulitis and needed surgery for a microperforation of the colon. 

Jurors commented after the trial Mr. Samms’ cross-examination of plaintiff’s expert was persuasive and convincing.  The case was tried in Montgomery County before the Honorable Steven Tolliver and Edvard Wilson and Barbara Heaton were instrumental in the successful outcome.
