Obermayer’s Pittsburgh Litigation Team Secures $2M+ Jury Verdict in Whistleblower Retaliation Case
Obermayer’s Pittsburgh complex litigation trial team, consisting of Bruce Fox, Mac Booker, and Salena Moran, secured a unanimous jury verdict in a whistleblower retaliation case on May 1st in federal district court in Santa Ana, California, which awarded our client over $2 million in damages against PPG Architectural Finishes.
The Pittsburgh team represented Plaintiff, Wally Lawson against PPG after the company fired him in retaliation for reporting a fraudulent scheme involving his supervisor’s directive to secretly mis-tint paint in its Lowe’s stores. This victory represents the final chapter of a seven-year litigation battle. PPG will additionally be responsible for all fees and costs incurred over the duration of the case.
Of course, no win would be complete without recognizing the vital contributions of Amie Fraenig and Maureen Boyd, who played an instrumental staff support role needed to achieve the successful outcome.
