Samantha Koopman and Matthew Green received a dismissal for an appraiser in Pennsylvania – the court found that the appraiser, hired by the City of Erie to appraise a commercial property taken by eminent domain, was immune from liability based on the doctrine of expert witness immunity. In the case, the Plaintiffs sued claiming the appraisal of the property was done negligently.
