Julie Colton to Host Web-Based CLE on the Uniform Child Custody and Jurisdiction Enforcement Act

February 20, 2019

Partner Julie Colton is hosting a CLE for Celesq, a legal education hosting program, regarding the Uniform Child Custody and Jurisdiction Enforcement Act (UCCJEA). This class will be a web-based seminar that will be broadcast in multiple states on March 13, 2019.

The UCCJEA is legislation that determines which state has jurisdiction over, and therefore authority to make decisions for, a child in a custody case. This Act is especially common in cases of pending divorce, or if child custody between legal guardians has not been finalized before one party moves to another state.

Julie focuses her practice on family law matters including divorce, child custody, support, asset division, prenuptial agreements, and international custody. She also has experience in mediation and collaborative law. For more information about Julie, you can view her profile here.
