Michael Pepperman and Ivo Becica to Present at​ ACC’s Contracts & Commercial CLE Institute

Obermayer labor and employment partners Michael Pepperman and Ivo Becica will present at the ACC’s Contracts & Commercial CLE Institute on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Inn at Villanova. Their panel, titled “Oh my, AI: The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Key Business Agreements,” will discuss the impact of AI on contract drafting and use it as a springboard for discussing the state of the law regarding NDAs and restrictive covenants, as well as independent contractor and consulting agreements.

Michael is the Chair of Obermayer’s Labor Relations and Employment Law Department and a member of Obermayer’s Management Committee. Mike is an accomplished attorney known for his tireless advocacy on behalf of his clients. He focuses his practice exclusively on the representation of management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law. he is an in-demand author and lecturer, Mike has written articles on a wide variety of labor relations and employment law topics, such as wrongful termination, violence in the workplace, wage-and-hour, workplace privacy, labor relations, and discrimination in the workplace. Further, he is a frequent speaker to trade associations and professional groups.

Ivo focuses his practice on representing employers, including advising companies on how to handle employee issues, and defending employee claims when they are filed. He has significant experience defending lawsuits and charges brought by employees under a variety of federal and state laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, and public policy wrongful discharge and workers’ compensation retaliation claims.
