Michael Bertin Moderates a Discussion on the Do’s and Don’ts of Child and Spousal Support

On Monday, November 10, 2025, Michael Bertin, Co-Chair of Obermayer’s Family Law Department, moderated and presented at the Philadelphia Bar Association’s CLE program, The Do’s and Don’ts of Child Support: Discussing the Best Practicing Tips for All Stages of Child and Spousal Support Litigation.”  The program was focused on the conversations that attorneys should have with clients before filing a complaint for child support, a petition to modify child support, or a petition for contempt of child support. This CLE also provided invaluable practice tips for litigating spousal support and support contempt hearings.

Michael co-chairs Obermayer’s Family Law Group, where he focuses his practice on child custody, child support, alimony, property distribution, divorce, and prenuptial agreements. He currently serves as President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). Michael is also a former Chair of both the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, where he now co-chairs the Custody Committee. In addition, he is a co-author of Pennsylvania Child Custody Law, Practice, and Procedure.
