Julie Colton to Co-Present Panel on AI in Legal Practice

Obermayer family law partner Julie Colton will co-present “A Lawyer and a Robot Walk Into a Bar: Incorporating AI into Your Practice“ on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, hosted by the Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.

The panel will explore practical and ethical considerations surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in legal practice, including AI platforms, legal research tools, case management applications, and emerging ethical guidance.

Julie focuses her practice on divorce, child custody, support, asset division, prenuptial agreements, and international custody, and also has experience in family law mediation and collaborative law. She is an Adjunct Professor of Family Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and serves in leadership roles with the Allegheny County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Sections. Julie is a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and serves on the Allegheny County Bar Association Board of Governors.
