Gary Samms Discusses Legal Malpractice Case in The Legal Intelligencer

October 14, 2022

Gary Samms, was quoted on October 13, 2022, in The Legal Intelligencer about a civil suit alleging two Montgomery County lawyers schemed to have an elderly woman deemed incapacitated in order to rack up improper legal bills.

The Montgomery County court judge who initially handled the case decided to dismiss the claims on preliminary objections, but PA Superior Court reversed on the claims and remanded the case for further proceedings at the trial court level.

Gary Samms, who represents attorney Dietrich, one of the defendants, stated for The Legal Intelligencer that his client did nothing wrong.

“He aggressively represented his client, and we’re not concerned about these references to wrongdoing,” Samms said. ”Obviously we are disappointed and disagree with the ruling of the Superior Court. We believe Judge [Bernard] Moore ruled correctly on the initial preliminary objections. Either way, we look forward to addressing these meritless allegations against our client.”
