December 05, 2016

David A. Nasatir, Chair of the Business and Finance Department of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP, was appointed to the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority Board of Directors. Nasatir will replace Pennsylvania Attorney General-Elect Josh Shapiro, who sat on the board previously and will step down due to his new position.

“The Pennsylvania Convention Center is a real asset to the state and the region,” said Nasatir. “I look forward to sitting on the board and being involved in decisions of such a major driver of the region’s hospitality industry.”

Nasatir chairs Obermayer’s Business & Finance Department where he practices in the areas of corporate real estate and finance. He has served on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and currently serves on the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors and the Delaware Valley Regional Finance Authority. Previously, he was a member of the Montgomery County Development Corporation Board of Directors.

Located in Center City, Philadelphia, the Convention Center is situated at the center of the city’s many cultural offerings and world-class dining and entertainment scene. A $787 million dollar renovation and expansion of the Center, which received a Gold level certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, was completed in 2011, increasing the size of the Center by 62 percent. The Center offers more than 1 million square-feet of saleable meeting spaces, the largest ballroom in the Northeast and welcoming lounges within a flexible and dynamic venue.
