Victor Young Honored with Pennsylvania Bar Association Fifty-Year Member Award

Victor Young, a Partner in Obermayer’s Litigation Department,  was honored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) for 50 years of membership. PBA Fifty-Year Member Awards recognize lawyers who have been association members for five decades. The awards were presented during a ceremony at the PBA Annual Meeting, May 8-10, 2024, in Hershey, PA.

Victor has a diverse practice, concentrating in the area of commercial litigation where he represents banks, insurance companies, real-estate developers, and other business entities. He also practices in the areas of premises liability defense and personal injury defense.

Beyond his legal endeavors, Victor actively contributes to his community. He has served as a former president and board member of Center in the Park, Germantown, a pivotal hub for senior citizens. His civic engagements extend to roles such as Trustee at Green Tree School, membership in Frontiers International Inc., Secretary and member of the Workforce Investment Board of Montgomery County, participation in the Cheltenham Township Citizens Advisory Committee, and leadership as Convener of the Advisory Committee on Employment of Minority Staff for the School District of Cheltenham Township. He is also a member of the Cheltenham Township Economic Development Task Force.

Victor’s dedication to community service extends to his involvement as a Trustee at Zion Baptist Church in North Philadelphia, board membership at Leon H Sullivan CDC in North Philadelphia, and active membership in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and American Bar Associations.
