“I became a lawyer to help people. Estate planning and administration give me the opportunity to do that every day—helping clients through difficult moments and giving them peace of mind for the future.”
Sam helps families in Pennsylvania plan for the future and navigate the legal challenges that follow the loss of a loved one. As an associate in Obermayer’s Trusts & Estates Group, Sam focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and asset protection. Sam serves clients across the region with a compassionate, steady hand—treating each client as if they were part of his own extended family.
In his estate planning work, Sam crafts personalized wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives to ensure his clients’ wishes are honored while minimizing tax burdens. In estate and trust administration, he handles the probate process efficiently from start to finish —gathering assets, guiding fiduciaries, and ensuring the smooth distribution of inheritances.
While in law school, Sam received the Constance W. Maier Scholarship, awarded annually to a student who excels in the field of trusts and estates.
Outside the office, Sam enjoys coaching his kids’ sports teams, cheering on all things Philly sports, and leading a nonprofit foundation he co-founded in honor of his late brother. The organization supports global and local causes, including orphan care in Eswatini, support for women escaping sex trafficking in India, and assistance to families facing cancer diagnoses.
Sam has extensive experience in all aspects of estate planning, estate and trust administration, tax matters, and business succession planning. Before becoming an attorney, Sam was a Trusts and Estates paralegal for seven years giving him invaluable experience in his chosen practice area.
Sam earned his B.A. with honors, graduating magna cum laude and earning election to The Phi Beta Kappa Society. While attending Temple University Beasley School of Law, he was awarded the Constance W. Maier Memorial Scholarship, which is given annually to recognize outstanding achievements in the area of trusts and estates.
Sam is an active member of the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council.
Beyond his legal practice, Sam is deeply committed to community service. In 2018, he co-founded Gabriel’s Gladiators, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in memory of his late brother. The organization supports orphans in Eswatini, survivors of sex trafficking in Kolkata, India, and local families facing the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
