Kayla is an attorney in Obermayer’s family law department, representing clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, child and spousal support, adoption, domestic abuse, and mediation. She became a lawyer to help people through challenging times, especially when those moments touch the most personal parts of their lives. When clients come to her feeling overwhelmed or uncertain, Kayla provides clarity, confidence, and a plan for moving forward.

She takes the time to listen, understand what matters most, and explain each step clearly so her clients feel informed and supported. Kayla works hard to protect their rights while keeping their long-term well-being in mind, especially when children are involved.

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, trying new recipes, and reading a good book.

Kayla has experience managing family law matters across multiple jurisdictions, overseeing case strategy, deadlines, and coordination among clients, courts, and experts. She handles complex divorce, custody, and support cases, drafting motions, pleadings, and marital settlement agreements, and developing effective strategies for high-conflict matters. Her background also includes assisting judges with drafting opinions, managing dockets, and supporting court operations.

While in law school, Kayla was awarded the Joanne Ross Wilder Scholarship and selected to attend the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Meeting in recognition of her dedication to family law. She also served on The Villanova Environmental Law Journal and earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Syracuse University.
