George is an attorney in Obermayer’s Business and Finance Department with more than 30 years of experience in commercial transactions, real estate, land use, zoning, corporate law, and finance in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. His background includes serving as a solicitor for multiple New Jersey planning and zoning boards and founding and serving as CEO of a publicly traded community commercial bank.
George has a unique background as both an attorney and a former bank executive, giving him deep insight into banking regulations and commercial transactions. Skilled at understanding both the lender and borrower perspectives, he excels at aligning interests to successfully complete complex transactions.
George also has extensive experience handling buy-sell transactions, land development and redevelopment, and land-use litigation. He founded a publicly traded community bank in New Jersey and served as its CEO for five years.
George is a member of the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJBSA).
