“I approach every client relationship as a partner, and it is always a privilege to work on someone else’s team and play a small role in their success! ”
Corinna is a partner in Obermayer’s Litigation Department, as part of the Transparency and Public Data Practice. She works with clients across industries to protect sensitive information, gain access to records, and navigate compliance with Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know law and the federal Freedom of Information Act.
Corinna is well-heeled in Transparency, having served as general counsel and chief operating officer of the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association and chief counsel to the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records. In her work now, she helps multinational corporations understand how to position and protect confidential and proprietary information that is exempted under these laws.
In every position she has held — from lawyer, reporter, to consultant, Corinna has focused on solving problems and helping others create meaningful change. She prides herself on being a good listener, embracing teamwork, staying approachable, and above all, making herself useful. Becoming a lawyer was one of the most transformative experiences of her life, shaping the clarity, discipline, and collaborative spirit she brings to every client relationship.
Outside the office, Corinna enjoys long walks with her English-bred yellow lab, Finnbar, her loyal companion for deep conversations and solving the world’s problems. A lifelong news enthusiast, she still follows journalism closely after years in the newspaper business. She’s also a passionate soccer fan, cheering for the Philadelphia Union and tracking Christian Pulisic wherever he plays. She and her husband, Peter, also a lawyer, live in Camp Hill and have two grown children.
A career highlight for Corinna was her lead role advocating for the passage of the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know law, signed by Governor Ed Rendell on Valentine’s Day 2008. This law is one of the most significant state government reforms in recent history. She then served as Chief Counsel in the newly created Office of Open Records, helping launch one of the few new administrative agencies in Pennsylvania from scratch. The Office of Open Records handled more than 15,000 appeals in those early days and 500 cases in the appellate courts.
At the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association, Corinna managed legal, lobbying, publications, member services, and conventions, including the country’s largest regional newspaper production and technology trade show.
Her public service work has never diminished. As Senior Advisor to the Pennsylvania State Treasurer, she developed statewide communications strategies, launching a retirement security program and a financial newsletter. During her tenure leading programming at the Pennsylvania Cable Network, Corinna was an on-air public affairs host and covered the fallout from the Jerry Sandusky case and Harrisburg’s near bankruptcy, among other things.
Corinna founded and led a strategic and public affairs consulting firm, where she provided her expertise in government relations, nonprofit governance, and association management.
Corinna is a certified de Bono Six Thinking Hats™ and Lateral Thinking™ trainer, helping dozens of teams across the country become more creative and efficient, including civilian employees at the U.S. Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, WA, and the global innovations team at Owings-Corning, a publicly traded manufacturing company
Corinna is board chair of Theatre Harrisburg, a community arts organization celebrating its 100th anniversary. She enjoys applying her skills in nonprofit management and governance to help increase the theater’s impact and ensure its long-term sustainability.
Corinna is also the co-founder and presenter of the Capitol All-Stars Game, a popular annual legislative event that brings together Pennsylvania House and Senate members, both Republicans and Democrats, men and women, for a friendly slow-pitch softball matchup. The game is one of Pennsylvania’s most dynamic ways to unite lawmakers and raise funds to fight hunger; it has donated funding to provide healthy meals for more than one million Pennsylvanians in need through its partnership with Feeding Pennsylvania and Hunger-Free Pennsylvania. Televised live statewide, it is widely regarded as a social highlight of the year for legislators and lobbyists alike.
