“Helping individuals and families achieve peace of mind through responsible, tax-efficient estate planning has always been the cornerstone of my practice.”

- Brian Price

Brian Price is a partner in Obermayer’s Trusts & Estates department. Based in the firm’s Doylestown office, Brian focuses his practice on estate planning, and trust and estate administration. He works closely with individuals, families, and their financial advisors to develop thoughtful estate plans that meet clients’ personal wishes while minimizing tax exposure.

Clients appreciate Brian’s calm, empathetic approach. He begins each engagement by listening carefully—understanding the family dynamics, reviewing existing documents, and identifying assets such as real estate, business interests, and inherited wealth. With this comprehensive picture, he recommends and drafts the appropriate documents—wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives—that align with the client’s goals. His collaborative style includes working with accountants and other professionals to ensure a holistic and tax-smart approach.

Outside the office, Brian enjoys life with Patricia, his wife of 53 years, their children, and their three grandchildren—two in Pennsylvania and one in Sweden. He and Patricia reside in a restored 18th-century home, where she keeps horses and they tend the land. Brian is also an avid indoor rower with a goal of one million meters this year and a devoted follower of current events.

Brian has decades of experience guiding clients through a wide range of trust and estate matters. He handles all aspects of estate planning and estate and trust administration and is skilled at resolving disputes through both negotiation and litigation.

Throughout his career, Brian has helped families thoughtfully arrange their affairs and manage financial assets, often in coordination with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals. He has designed estate plans that facilitate the smooth, tax-efficient transfer of assets to family members, charitable organizations, and other beneficiaries. Many of these plans involve trusts that manage funds for minor or inexperienced beneficiaries while minimizing estate and inheritance taxes for future generations. Brian has also served as a trustee for multiple families, often across generations, ensuring that assets are preserved and managed according to his clients’ long-term wishes.

From 1973 to 1977, Brian served as a Captain in the United States Army, Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG).

Brian has held an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell for decades and has been recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® every year from 2009 to 2025.

Recognized for his pragmatic and results-oriented approach, Brian is a respected member of the Bucks County Bar. Beyond his legal practice, he is deeply engaged in community service. He served as Director (1980–1987) and President (1985–1986) of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council and held key leadership roles with the Bucks County SPCA, including Finance Chair (2009–2014), President (2013–2014), and Treasurer (2014–2015). Brian has also served as the Director of the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
