Obermayer Attorney Speaks at CCPA

Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP attorney Ivo Becica presented, “Overtime Changes on the Horizon: What Employers Should Know,” at the Center City Proprietors Association Seminar. He addressed the current “white collar” overtime exemptions under federal law, summarized the new rules (minus the legal jargon), and included pointers on how employers can prepare now to avoid being caught flat-footed when the new rules go into effect on December 1st.

Becica focuses his practice on defending employment matters, including litigation if it should arise, streamlining the process for his clients. He has significant experience analyzing and applying state and federal law, including discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, Conscientious Employee Protection Act, Title VII, and constitutional claims under the New Jersey Civil Rights Act and 42 U.S.C. § 1983.
