Melissa Osorio Dibble Brings Trial Experience and Fiduciary Litigation Skills to Lead Obermayer’s Trusts & Estates Department

June 17, 2026

In a June 16, 2026 article, Law360 highlighted Melissa Osorio Dibble’s arrival at Obermayer as a partner and Chair of the firm’s Trusts & Estates Department, recognizing her extensive trial experience and work handling complex fiduciary disputes.

Melissa joins Obermayer after more than 15 years at Archer & Greiner, bringing a litigation-focused trusts and estates practice that includes representing individuals and institutions in contested trust, estate, and fiduciary matters. Her trial skills and experience navigating high-stakes disputes position her to help guide the department’s continued growth and provide clients with sophisticated counsel in increasingly complex estate-related litigation.

Based in Obermayer’s Philadelphia and Mount Laurel offices, Melissa succeeds Nina B. Stryker and Paul C. Heintz, who have led Obermayer’s Trusts & Estates Department for decades and will continue their practices at the firm while transitioning from their leadership roles.

The transition also marks a continuation of the department’s tradition of female leadership. Reflecting on the opportunity, Melissa told Law360:

“Back in the day, so to speak, there weren’t as many female-led departments, and to have Nina have established the department she did and to take over from her is quite the honor. I have very big shoes to fill. I want to continue that high quality of work for our clients.”

Obermayer Managing Partner Mathieu J. Shapiro praised Melissa’s experience and reputation, stating that she “brings the talent, reputation and experience” to lead the department’s next chapter. He added that it is “especially meaningful to see a department that benefited from Nina’s groundbreaking leadership continue to evolve with another highly respected woman stepping into this role.”
