Obermayer labor and employment attorneys Ivo Becica and Melissa Blanco presented a webinar, titled “From Washington to the Workplace: How the Biden-Harris Administration Could Change Employment Law,” part of Camden County Regional Chamber of Commerce Virtual Series, held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

Ivo and Melissa outlined the most likely potential changes following President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris shift to the leadership of federal agencies that administer the nation’s labor and employment laws, and how employers can prepare.

Ivo represents employers in their defense of employees’ claims in state or federal court, in private binding arbitration, or before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”). He has substantial experience defending lawsuits and charges brought by employees under a variety of federal and state laws and workers’ compensation retaliation claims.

Melissa focuses her practice on employment-related agreements, executive compensation and employee benefits, labor arbitration, and wage and hour matters. Melissa also represents clients in labor and employment related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful discharge claims.
