Victor Young Co-Chairs the Leon H. Sullivan Community Hoops & Conference

Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP partner Victor Young served as co-chair for the 2nd annual Leon H. Sullivan Community Hoops & Conference. The purpose of the conference is to reignite the legacy of Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan and pass the torch to the next generation to empower them to understand the importance of education and self-help in order to rebuild communities. Prominent community leaders and sports figures served as facilitators, panelists and clinic instructors, drawing more than 300 in attendance.

Young has a diverse practice, concentrating in the area of commercial litigation where he represents banks, insurance companies, real-estate developers and other business entities. He also practices in the areas of premises liability defense and personal injury defense. Young is interim president of the board of directors of the Leon H. Sullivan Community Center, Inc., a sponsor of the event, and a former president and member of the board of directors and present member of the Board of Advisors of Center In The Park, Germantown, a center for senior citizens.
