Obermayer Adds Medical Malpractice Associates

Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP adds Mark J. Hermanovich and Michael Joseph Ryan to the firm’s litigation department and medical malpractice defense practice group. Both will reside in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Hermanovich concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense, long term care defense, professional liability, insurance coverage and general liability defense. He represents health care providers, including hospitals, health systems, physicians, nurses, long term care providers, dentists and health care support staff in professional liability matters, licensing disputes, staff privilege issues, state investigations, and related insurance concerns.

Ryan focuses his practice on representing those injured by dangerous or defective drugs. He has experience working on pharmaceutical mass torts involving drugs such as Accutane and Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs), as well as gadolinium based contrast agent litigation. He has helped clients in litigation involving contaminated heparin, Digitek, and oral sodium phosphate, among others.
