Best Law Firm Mentors 2024: Paige Macdonald-Matthes

May 01, 2024

Paige Macdonald-Matthes, Partner at Obermayer’s Harrisburg office, offers insights into her journey as an attorney and the importance of mentorship in a recent interview with The Legal Intelligencer, published on April 30, 2024. Nominated as a finalist in The Legal Intelligencer’s 2024 Pennsylvania Legal Awards, Paige is recognized in the category of Best Law Firm Mentors.

In the interview, Paige discusses the invaluable role mentorship plays in guiding young attorneys through the practical aspects of legal practice, beyond what is typically taught in law school. Reflecting on her own experience, Paige emphasizes the significance of having a supportive mentor.

“The value of a robust mentorship is that it provides a young attorney with the support they need when navigating the actual practice of law,” Paige explains. “It’s about being there as a sounding board for young attorneys when they are starting to make their own practice decisions.”

The winners across all finalist categories will be announced at an awards dinner set for May 15, 2024, at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.

Paige concentrates her practice on commercial, business, and real estate litigation. She has litigated a wide range of commercial contract and liability issues including construction litigation, enforcement of non-compete clauses, lease disputes, as well as other various complex litigation matters in state courts and in federal district and bankruptcy courts.

Paige was named one of Pennsylvania’s 50 Best Women In Business by The Business Journals of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. She has also been recognized as one of Central Pennsylvania’s Forty Under Forty by the Central Penn Business Journal.
