“As an experienced family law attorney, I recognize that each of my clients is facing a difficult time in his or her life. Therefore, my ultimate goal is to address each client’s individual set of circumstances to achieve a favorable result. Sometimes this means using my well-developed litigation skills to succeed in the courtroom. At other times, it may require relying on my strong negotiation and mediation background to resolve matters outside of court.”
Doylestown Divorce Attorney
Hillary co-chairs Obermayer’s Family Law Group. Hillary enjoys seeing her clients get to the other side of a dispute and become happier, stronger people. She is an experienced and understanding divorce attorney serving the greater Doylestown area.

While Hillary is a skilled litigator with extensive experience handling complex divorce matters, she also is trained in several areas of alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration, mediation, and collaborative law.
Hillary represented a client in a landmark third-party custody case before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. In Caldwell v. Jaurigue, the Court issued a decision establishing a bright-line rule for third-party child support matters. The decision sets a significant precedent clarifying the child support responsibilities of third parties who have custodial rights to a child. Specifically, the Supreme Court unanimously decided that only third parties who have sole or shared legal custody shall be responsible for paying child support.
In another notable case, Hillary represented a client whose child was living with his mother in a different county almost 90 minutes away. Her client, the father, knew that his son was not being properly cared for and was being frequently shifted around to various relatives, including on school nights. The mother denied this. With the help of a private investigator, Hillary was able to establish evidence to prove that her client’s son would be better served living with his father. She achieved a result in which custody was transferred to her client.
