Manroop is an attorney in Obermayer’s Business and Finance Department, representing banks, financial institutions, lenders, and borrowers across a broad range of commercial transactions. Her practice focuses on financing transactions, real estate matters, business acquisitions, commercial contracts, and general corporate matters.
Manroop takes a practical, creative approach to each matter. She views every transaction as a new puzzle and takes pride in finding solutions that serve her clients.
Outside the office, Manroop enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and attending sporting events and concerts. She has visited 22 countries and counting and is always looking forward to her next adventure. She is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.
Manroop has experience drafting, negotiating, analyzing, and advising clients on commercial leases and amendments, commercial loan documents for regional and international banks, and real estate documents, including deeds, easements, and restrictive covenants. She also has experience with contracts and procurement, including licensing agreements, photo and film releases, department contracts, and special event agreements.
While in law school, Manroop served as President of the South Asian Law Students Association and was a member of Richmond Women’s Law, the Professional Identity Formation Student Advisory Panel, and the Peer Mentor Program.
Manroop earned her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude. As an undergraduate, she was a member of Sigma Omega Upsilon, an international business fraternity, and served as Chief Programming Officer.
