Jerry focuses his practice on business transactions with a concentration on real estate, real estate finance, corporate and corporate finance. Institutional and individual clients make up his client base with matters such as land acquisition, development, financing, and disposition.

Jerry brings a sophisticated approach to his advisement on development and finance. He has many years of experience in new town development, crafting large parcels of raw land into new towns and metropolitan areas with infrastructure and multi-use real estate development. He finds working on major and significant transactions and projects to be a rewarding practice.

In his free time, Jerry enjoys traveling, golf, wine, continuing education, sports and family life. He also sits on a number of major non-profit boards and is active in civic and charitable pursuits. He has always adhered to a strong personal service philosophy.

Throughout his over 40 year legal career, Jerry has had broad corporate and general commercial experience. He has represented real estate development companies, commercial banks, investment banks, pension advisory firms, pension funds, REITS, mortgage banks, private equity funds, and numerous other corporate and financial institutions.

Jerry has extensive experience providing counsel in a significant number of commercial, corporate and financial transactions, including workout activities. He has concentrated on substantial real estate matters, including new town development, various real estate trust and planned unit development projects, as well as real estate acquisitions, sales, development and syndication. Jerry has been involved in the negotiation, drafting and review of documents pertaining to leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, commercial mortgage backed securitizations, syndicated credits, corporate reorganizations and dissolutions.

Jerry began his career in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he was responsible for real property and environmental issues and government contract matters. He later served as general counsel to a major real estate development corporation where he was involved with all aspects of real estate development, land use planning, and commercial and real estate finance.

Jerry is a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. He was named as one of Pennsylvania’s “Super Lawyers” as listed in both the Philadelphia magazine and in the Thomson Reuters, Legal magazine. He is also rated as AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell.

Jerry sits on the Board of Directors of Temple University Hospital, Salus University (formerly Pennsylvania College of Optometry), Wesley Enhanced Living, Valley Forge Educational Services, Philadelphia Securities Association, Philadelphia Free Library, and the Phoenixville Library Foundation.

Jerry also is, or has been, a member of:
