Alex is an attorney in Obermayer’s Litigation Department, where he focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation. He represents corporate institutions and other entities in a broad range of disputes. Alex guides clients through every stage of litigation, from pre-suit strategy to trial, and advises on potential claims, defenses, and alternative resolutions. He is committed to simplifying complex legal issues and achieving the most favorable outcomes possible.

A natural problem-solver, Alex enjoys tackling challenging matters and continuously expanding his knowledge to better serve his clients.

Outside the office, Alex enjoys reading, cooking, playing tennis, and visiting friends and family, from Maine to Miami.

Alex gained valuable courtroom and appellate experience during his time as an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. While there, he spent significant time in the courtroom and consistently delivered high-quality work under demanding deadlines.

In the Appeals Unit, Alex conducted extensive legal research on a wide range of issues, drafted appellate briefs, and argued cases before Pennsylvania’s appellate courts, including the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He also edited briefs for junior attorneys and provided substantive training for new hires. In addition, he responded to and litigated post-conviction relief petitions.

In the Trial Unit, Alex prosecuted felony preliminary hearings and misdemeanor bench trials in the Philadelphia Municipal Court. He also represented the Commonwealth in matters including extradition proceedings, expungement petitions, and appeals of Municipal Court rulings.

Alex graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where he served as Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Race & Social Justice Law Review. His academic distinctions include the Order of the Coif, multiple Dean’s List recognitions, two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Legal Communication & Research, and the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement Award in Criminal Procedure. Alex served as a Research Assistant to a Miami Law professor and was an active member of several student organizations, including the Intellectual Property Law Society and OUTLaw.
