Shannon is an attorney is Obermayer’s Litigation department, focusing on medical malpractice, professional liability, and contract and commercial disputes. As an accomplished trial attorney and litigator, Shannon executes an entire defense from strategic pleadings, thorough discovery and depositions, precise expert selection, and comprehensive trial preparations.
Shannon is a logical problem-solver. She believes that the key to client success is engaging and responsive communication, and makes it her priority to gain a full understanding of her clients’ objectives and concerns.
When she is out of the office, Shannon stays physically active with running and CrossFit, as a Level 1 Trainer. She is also a member of Road Dawgs Cycling, a considerable force in raising funds for continuing research and related programs directly benefiting the over 10,000 people afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis in the Greater Delaware Valley region.
Shannon has broad experience in advocating for physicians, hospitals, and medical practices in complex medical malpractice claims. Some of Shannon’s most notable litigation cases include:
- Forced settlement of complex multi-party commercial claim by leveraging evidence to support piercing the corporate veil
- Persuaded Philadelphia judge to enter summary judgment dismissing claim for damages of $57 MM in merger and acquisition matter
- Instrumental in obtaining $2.4 MM award against local real estate developer for construction defects, including punitive damages award
Shannon is a Vice President for Fostering Forever Memories, a non-profit organization aiming to provide positive life experiences for children in foster care in Montgomery and Bucks Counties. Shannon also is a volunteer coach for Mock Trial Team at The Haverford School.
