Kristy is an attorney in Obermayer’s Litigation Department, concentrating her practice on medical malpractice and professional liability defense. Kristy represents health care providers and facilities in medical malpractice matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Beyond medical malpractice matters, her litigation experience includes employment, product liability, and subrogation matters.
Kristy believes in the importance of developing strong client relationships and has extensive experience litigating cases from inception through resolution. She became a lawyer to help people navigate through the legal process which is often one of the more stressful times they will encounter during their lives.
Kristy owns a small farm in South Jersey. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her fiancé on adventures near and far. Kristy is also an avid horsewoman and competes in ranch sorting. She is actively involved with supporting charitable organizations such as Ronald McDonald House and organizations which support women and children in crisis.
Prior to attending law school, Kristy completed a Master’s in Public Administration where she concentrated her studies in Health Care Administration and Management. She continued her education in the health care field by obtaining a certificate in Health Law at Widener Delaware Law.
Since graduating law school, Kristy has concentrated her practice on civil litigation. Kristy has utilized her background in health care to effectively represent physicians, health care facilities and other health care providers in all aspects of litigation including deposition preparation. She has successfully defended and taken the lead on party and expert depositions in medical malpractice matters and various other litigation matters.
Throughout the course of her career, Kristy has developed strong medical and legal research skills which she utilizes not only for the purposes of developing litigation strategy but also for brief writing. She has obtained successful results in summary judgment motions on behalf of defendants and plaintiffs in state and federal court.
While working in the employment law sector, Kristy gained extensive experience mediating cases on behalf of both defendants and plaintiffs.
