Elizabeth is an attorney in Obermayer’s Litigation and Labor and Employment Departments. She represents financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, real estate developers and investors, and individuals in a variety of litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful discharge claims. She also focuses her practice in employment-related agreements, executive compensation and employee benefits, labor arbitration, and wage and hour matters.
Elizabeth believes that effective listening to clients’ concerns along with paying close attention to detail are crucial skills for an attorney. In her prior experience as plaintiff’s personal injury attorney, Elizabeth found that she was able to win cases through the seemingly small details.
When not working, Elizabeth spends time with her friends and family. She enjoys long walks and hikes, and loves to research health and nutrition by watching health documentaries, listening to health and wellness podcasts and reading health related books and articles. Elizabeth’s interests also include Chinese language, world religions, American politics, and world travel.
As a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney, Elizabeth gained courtroom experience. In addition to researching and preparing motions, memoranda, briefs and pleadings, she represented various clients in court and arbitration proceedings and participated in oral arguments in both state and federal courts.
During law school, Elizabeth was selected for an internship in the Western District of Pennsylvania with The Honorable Joy Flowers Conti, where she attended a two-week long Employment Discrimination trial, which gave her valuable insight into the “behind the scenes” of employment trials in federal court.
In law school, Elizabeth was Moot Court Negotiations Competition Quarterfinalist, and was a part of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
Elizabeth graduated Bucknell University (B.A.) with Honors in Economics, Philosophy, and East Asian Studies.
