Amy focuses her practice on matrimonial law, including divorce, child custody and support, parenting time, alimony, grandparent visitation, equitable distribution of assets, debts and valuations of businesses, and domestic violence issues. Amy also devotes a significant portion of her practice to drafting and negotiating prenuptial agreements. On a smaller scale, she has also represented clients in adoption matters.

Amy’s goal in any matter is to educate her clients regarding the relevant New Jersey law and provide them with realistic expectations given their individual circumstances. She feels that the most important part of her job as an attorney is securing a result that changes a child’s life for the better.

Amy enjoys any workout that requires coordination and dance-type routines such as Cardio Kickboxing. She enjoys spending time at the beach, trying new restaurants, and is a self-proclaimed “Jeopardy Junky”.

Prior to joining Obermayer, Amy was an attorney at a New Jersey law firm where she was a member of the Matrimonial & Family Law Practice Group. Prior to that, she served as a law clerk for the Hon. Katherine R. Dupuis, Presiding Judge of the Family Part, Superior Court of New Jersey, Union Vicinage, for the 2009-2010 term.

During law school, Amy worked in the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice Family Clinic and also served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Lisa Chrystal, Superior Court of New Jersey, Union Vicinage. She was also a legal education opportunities counselor for Seton Hall University School of Law.

Amy has been named as a New Jersey Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2016 -2018.

Amy also enjoys volunteering for Gilda’s Club of South Jersey, a cancer support network that provides a “safe space” for those that are suffering from cancer or who have been affected by a loved one’s diagnosis.
