Public policy affects nearly every aspect of business conducted in the United States. Our Government Relations group recognizes the role that effective communication plays in advancing business objectives. Bringing to bear extensive experience and longstanding relationships on both sides of the aisle, we help clients navigate the appropriate and most effective corridors of the federal, state, and local centers of power.
Obermayer’s Government Relations group builds on the firm’s successful history of representing client interests before the legislative, executive, and regulatory branches of federal, state and local government. This group is led by former Senate President Pro Temp and Lt. Governor Robert Jubelirer.
We represent a wide range of businesses regulated by the federal government as well as by state and local jurisdictions and the European Union.
Our team specializes in assisting clients in developing and implementing short- and long-term lobbying strategies and in providing direct advocacy to all sectors of government. We focus on the interplay of local, state, and federal laws, public policy, regulation, competition, and economic trends to help clients achieve their goals. We also monitor political activity and can help clients incorporate new legislation, as well as statutory and regulatory amendments, into their business procedures.
