David J. Steerman and Paul C. Heintz Co-Present at PBI’s 16th Annual Estate Law Institute

PHILADELPHIA – December 29, 2009–Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP’s Paul C. Heintz and David J. Steerman, co-presented “Marital Agreements: Avoiding Post Death Surprises” at the PBI’s 16th Annual Estate Law Institute at the Convention Center on December 11, 2009.

Heintz is a partner and Chairman of Obermayer’s Trusts & Estates Department. He has more than 30 years of experience in all areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, Orphans’ Court litigation, and fiduciary and tax law. He also has experience in aviation law, and representation of not-for-profit corporations, including a number of well-known charities in the Philadelphia area.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College, Gambier, OH, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, Philadelphia. He is included in The Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law and Who's Who in America.

Steerman, a partner in Obermayer’s Litigation Department’s Family Law Practice Group, is a leader of the Family Law section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and served as its chair in 2003, overseeing issues that are pertinent to family court.  He is a former member of the Judicial Selection and Retention Committee and the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia Bar Association.  He is consistently named as one of Pennsylvania’s “Super Lawyers” as listed in both the Philadelphia magazine (2005 to 2008) and the Law and Politics Magazine, Pennsylvania Super Lawyers (2005 to 2008) editions.  He is the treasurer for and one of the founding members of the Nicholas A. Cipriani Family Law American Inn of Court. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded his Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law.
