Program: With the election of President Obama and sizeable Democratic majorities in both Houses of Congress, the 111th Congress is considering some of the most significant changes to employment and labor law in decades. For example, if passed, EFCA will create sweeping changes to federal labor law and deeply affect the dynamic between employers, employees and unions. Other labor and employment law issues likely to be considered by the new Congress include the RESPECT Act (Re-Empowerment of Skilled and Professional Employees and Construction Tradeworkers), Paycheck Fairness Act, Fair Pay Restoration Act and the Working Families Flexibility Act. Presenters Michael Pepperman, Jason Reisman and Stephanie Peet will discuss the potential implications of these and other labor and employment issues being considered by the new Congress.
Cost: There is no charge for these briefings.
We will accept registration on a first come, first serve basis. Please register as soon as possible as seating is limited.
