PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA—NOVEMBER 27, 2012— On November 21, 2012, Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP’s Gary M. Samms and Eileen K. Keefe successfully defended their client and obtained a defense verdict in the matter of Fanaro v Pottstown Hospital et al. A unanimous jury found in favor of the doctor. The plaintiff claimed that a failure to diagnose led to the patient’s death and the demand before trial was two million dollars. The case was tried before the Honorable Arthur Tilson in the Montgomery Court of Common Pleas.
Samms is a partner in Obermayer’s Litigation Department and chairs the firm’s Professional Liability Practice Group. During his career, Samms has won over 140 major jury trials.
