Obermayer Pittsburgh Office’s Rich Bauer was one of 200 volunteers, including the mayor of Pittsburgh Luke Ravenstahl, who worked in 90 degree heat to help build a playground on Pittsburgh’s North Side. On June 19, volunteers worked fast and in the heat to build a safe haven for kids. The playground includes six slides, a rock climbing wall, monkey bars and a variety of climbing structures for kids ages 2 to 12. The playground sits in the Allegheny Commons Park off of North Avenue. The project effort, between Kaboom – a national non-profit that builds playgrounds throughout the country – and the Pennsylvania League of Cities and Municipalities, which is a group of mayors and city officials from across the state.
