On February 1, 2017, New Jersey’s “new” Termination of Child Support Statute went into effect. The new statute, N.J.S.A. 2A:17-56.67, which was signed into law on January 19, 2016 by Governor Christie, has potential to dramatically impact the duration of child support obligations in New Jersey.
