Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – June 15, 2016 – Former Montour County District Attorney Rebecca L. Warren joined the law firm of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department. Ms. Warren will concentrate her practice primarily in the areas of white collar crime and civil litigation, internal investigations, business compliance, government investigations, and the legal aspects of crisis management.  She will reside in the firm’s Harrisburg office.

Warren was District Attorney of Montour County from 2012-2016. Notably, she was the first woman elected as District Attorney in the County, winning the race by a 3-1 margin.  As the only attorney in the one-person District Attorney’s office, she was responsible for all trial and appellate work, in state and federal court, for the County.  Most recently, Warren was a candidate in the Republican Primary for Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.  From 2002 - 2011, Warren had her own law firm in Danville, Pennsylvania.

“I decided to join Obermayer because the firm's commitment to providing responsive, outstanding, and cost-effective service to all clients is in alignment with my personal philosophy,” explains Warren.  “I was also impressed by Obermayer’s strong desire to accommodate clients and their varied needs, wherever that may be throughout the Commonwealth and surrounding states.”

Warren brings Obermayer 25 years of experience in criminal law, insurance defense, family law, estates, real estate, and governmental issues. “We are excited to add Rebecca to our growing Harrisburg office,” said Obermayer Managing Partner Mathieu Shapiro. “She brings a wealth of experience in both the legal and political arenas that will be an asset to our clients and will help expand our white collar and civil litigation practices.” Warren will be working closely with Obermayer partner and former Acting Attorney General of Pennsylvania Walter W. Cohen.
