Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – March 11, 2013 – David A. Nasatir has rejoined Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP, as a partner and the chair of the firm’s Business and Finance Department, bringing with him associates Karen M. Sanchez and Stephanie J. Sprenkle as well as paralegal Annette Talerico and marketing specialist Beth Dainoff.
Nasatir, Sanchez and Sprenkle will continue to practice in the areas of corporate, real estate and public finance.
“David’s leadership skills combined with his vision, talent and energy will help grow our real estate and corporate practices into national models,” explained Thomas A. Leonard, chair of the firm’s Litigation Department and a permanent member of Obermayer’s Management Committee. Nasatir previously spent nearly 15 years at Obermayer and left the firm in 2011 to lead Thorp Reed & Armstrong’s Southeastern Pennsylvania efforts.
“Obermayer offers a tremendous opportunity for us to help build the firm’s Business and Finance Department as well as to strengthen our individual practices. My team and I are eager to carry on the firm’s tradition of providing excellent legal work and service,” said Nasatir.
“We were disappointed when David left, but are flattered and excited he is returning. We welcome him back with open arms. He is an exceptional lawyer and partner,” stated firm managing partner Robert I Whitelaw. “This also fits in nicely with our strategic growth plan.”
This addition continues Obermayer’s expansion. So far in 2013, Nasatir and company make a total of five new attorneys. In February, Paige Macdonald-Matthes joined the firm’s Harrisburg office as a partner and in January, former deputy general counsel of the Philadelphia Housing Authority Michael Eichert also joined the firm as a partner.
In addition to being active in the legal community, Nasatir is on the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) Board of Directors, recently completed a term on the Delaware Valley Regional Finance Authority and serves on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He also co-chairs the Montgomery County Democratic Party Judicial Screening Committee.
Nasatir served as a law clerk for the Hon. Lawrence S. Margolis of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, 1995, cum laude, and his B.A. from Georgetown University, 1991, magna cum laude, and was a Rhodes Scholarship Finalist for the State of Illinois
