PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – June 28, 2012–Obermayer’s Family Law partner Michael E. Bertin, will speak to the Family Law Section meeting of the Philadelphia Bar Association regarding proposed rules of civil procedure pertaining to Pennsylvania Child Custody. The Family Law Section will be held on July 9, 2012. Bertin is the chair-elect of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar, and co-chair of the Custody Committee of the Family Law Section.
Bertin, a member of the firm's Litigation and Family Law Practice Group, has an active family law practice. He handles all phases of the negotiation and litigation of domestic relations cases, including divorce, custody, support, alimony, property distribution, adoption, prenuptial agreements and related issues.
He is also an in-demand author and co-wrote the book on Pennsylvania child custody law. His newly released book, Pennsylvania Child Custody Law, Practice, and Procedure, consists of carefully condensed law and forms that keeps attorneys and the courts current on all areas of Pennsylvania child custody law.
