Matthew J. McHugh focuses his practice in public finance, real estate, and corporate matters.
Mr. McHugh has represented numerous local government units, including townships, boroughs and municipal authorities in a wide array of public finance matters. He assists clients in the issuance and modification of tax exempt obligations including general obligation notes, tax and revenue anticipation notes, and the issuance and refunding of bond issues. Mr. McHugh also has extensive experience with respect to real estate development and has appeared regularly before various zoning hearing boards and governing bodies as part of the zoning and subdivision and land development approval process. Mr. McHugh also focuses his practice on general corporate matters, including the sale and acquisition of businesses.
Recognized by his peers for his work, Mr. McHugh was named to the list of “Pennsylvania Rising Stars” in 2016 and 207 by Super Lawyers, a publication of Thomson Reuters which recognizes only 2.5% of attorneys
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McHugh was an attorney at another Pennsylvania law firm, in their corporate and municipal departments. Prior to this, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. C. Theodore Fritsch, Jr. in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.
