Angela L. Baglanzis represents businesses in need of restructuring, reorganization, and liquidation. Representations include Chapter 11 debtors-in-possession, Chapter 11 and Chapter trustees, creditors’ committees, disbursing agents, unsecured creditors, secured creditors, and plaintiffs and defendants in avoidance actions.
Ms. Baglanzis serves a wide variety of industries, including retail, bars/restaurants, construction and real estate. In addition to her work in restructuring, reorganization and liquidation, Ms. Baglanzis also represents clients in a range of businesses litigation matters in state and federal courts, and arbitration proceedings. She has experience with matters in an assortment of industries including construction, real estate, and computer franchise, among others.
Ms. Baglanzis has been named to the 2012 and 2013 Pennsylvania Rising Stars list as seen in both Philadelphia magazine (June edition) and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® magazine (June edition). Rising Stars are chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Thomson Reuters, Legal as being among the top-up-and-coming lawyers in the Commonwealth. Only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania attorneys receive this honor each year. Ms. Baglanzis previously received this honor in 2007 and 2010.
Complementing her practice is Ms. Baglanzis’s volunteer work for the Homeless Advocacy Center. She helps the homeless obtain birth certificates and social security numbers so they can find housing and become employable to support themselves and their families.
Ms. Baglanzis clerked in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware for the Visiting Judges in 2003-2004.
