Tara B. Dickerman is an associate with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation department.
Ms. Dickerman concentrates her practice in medical malpractice defense and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Obermayer in 2003, Ms. Dickerman worked as an associate at Christie, Pabarue, Mortenson & Young, where her practice focused on medical malpractice defense representing physicians and local hospitals. In addition, she was involved in ERISA litigation and commercial litigation. Ms. Dickerman began her career at Ominsky, Messa, & Tanner, where she was integrally involved in the In Re Orthopedic Bone Screw Products Liability litigation and served as second chair in complex medical malpractice trials.
She was selected as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” in both 2006 and 2008 in the December issue of Philadelphia magazine and the Law and Politics Magazine, Pennsylvania Super Lawyers - “Rising Stars” (2006 and 2008 editions). Rising Stars are chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics as being among the top-up-and-coming lawyers in the Commonwealth. Only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania attorneys receive this honor each year.
Ms. Dickerman earned her Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University Law School and was a member of the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, in Political Science from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, where she was a member of the political science honorary, Pi Sigma Alpha.
Ms. Dickerman is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court of New Jersey.
