Jacqueline K. Gallagher is of counsel with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. She is a member of the Litigation and Labor Relations & Employment Law Departments. A substantial portion of Ms. Gallagher's practice is dedicated to litigation.
Ms. Gallagher currently handles extensive defense litigation matters acting as counsel in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey for insurance carriers and self-insured corporations. In addition to the litigation matters, Ms. Gallagher provides insurance coverage opinions on numerous policy-related issues. Ms. Gallagher has a special expertise in trucking law. She has represented numerous commercial transportation entities in a wide variety of matters including complex litigation lawsuits, insurance coverage matters and regulatory issues.
Ms. Gallagher also practices in the areas of labor and management relations, employment law and discrimination litigation. Ms. Gallagher represents management in a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including federal court, state court and administrative proceedings involving Title VII, The Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and common law claims involving breach of contract and wrongful discharge.
Ms. Gallagher provides counseling to clients regarding compliance with a variety of federal and state labor and employments laws. She reviews and drafts employment policies, employment contracts and severance agreements and provides training to management and employees.
Prior to joining Obermayer, Ms. Gallagher practiced for five years in the area of insurance defense litigation. She represented clients in professional liability, products liability, premises liability, truckers' liability and employment law. Ms. Gallagher has experience in all aspects of litigation.
Ms. Gallagher earned her Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law, while working full-time and attending school in the Evening Division. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992 with honors from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Gallagher is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and American Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
