Michael S. Pepperman is a partner in the Labor Relations and Employment Law Department of the Philadelphia-based law firm of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. He exclusively devotes his practice to the representation of management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law, including such specializations as wage-and-hour and employment discrimination.

He has extensive experience representing numerous clients and litigating on their behalf on equal opportunity matters before state and federal agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, regarding issues of employment discrimination, wage-and-hour, and unfair labor practices.

As a prolific author, Mr. Pepperman has written highly regarded articles on a wide variety of labor relations and employment law issues, such as wrongful termination, violence in the workplace, wage-and-hour, managing without interference, workplace privacy, and discrimination in the workplace.

In addition to his many articles, Mr. Pepperman is in demand as a popular keynote speaker to trade associations and professional groups.

When a labor relations or an employment law issue becomes newsworthy, Mr. Pepperman is frequently asked to provide commentary on local radio news programs and is also quoted in newspaper and legal publication editorials.
 
Mr. Pepperman was recently chosen as one of the “Top One Hundred Labor Attorneys in the United States” by the Labor Relations Institute, Inc.  and was selected as one of “Pennsylvania’s Rising Stars.”

Mr. Pepperman earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in his double major of history and political science from the University of Delaware, where he was on the Dean’s List and a member of the History and Political Science Honor Societies. He graduated with honors and a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School.

He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Georgia. He is a member of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Labor Sections of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.
