Robert N.C. Nix, III, is of counsel with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department.
Mr. Nix has extensive experience in the areas of corporate, appellate and health care law.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and his Juris Doctor from Nova Law Center, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Prior to joining Obermayer in 1996, he was a partner with Hwang & Nix, P.C., Philadelphia. Previously, he also served as vice president of marketing for Cook Inlet Investment Management Inc., Lafayette, CA, and vice president and COO of Judicate Inc., Philadelphia, and William Penn Bank, Philadelphia.
Mr. Nix is currently a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, which oversees the ethical standards of attorneys practicing in Pennsylvania. He is secretary of the Philadelphia Board of Revision of Taxes and treasurer of the Fairmount Park Commission.
His past board memberships include the First Bank of Philadelphia, Franklin Square Hospital, William Penn Bank and the Patrons Foundation. He is a member of the Mayor’s Special Committee on Payments-In-Lieu-of -Taxes (PILOTs) and Mayors Special Committee on Services-In-Lieu-of -Taxes (SILOTs). He is a trustee for Northwestern Corp. and LaSalle College High School.
Mr. Nix is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
