Peter J. Oberkircher is a partner with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Business and Finance Department and Health Care Practice Group.
Mr. Oberkircher concentrates his practice in real estate, general corporate, health care and financing. He has extensive experience in corporate and real estate finance, real estate conveyancing, commercial leasing, and mergers and acquisitions. He represents numerous institutions in a broad range of credit transactions, including construction financing, acquisition financing, securitized financing, letter of credit financing and asset-backed financing. He represents large commercial landlords as well as tenants in office, warehouse/industrial and retail leasing. He also represents several developers in the acquisition and development of office, industrial retail projects. Mr. Oberkircher also serves several clients in the fast-food industry in connection with all aspects of franchising, financing, acquisition/dispositions and developments.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in economics from Villanova University, Villanova, PA, and his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law, where he served on the Executive Committee of the Moot Court Board.
In 2005 and 2006, he was also selected as one of the “Pennsylvania Rising Stars” as noted in the December 2005/2006 editions of both Philadelphia magazine and Law & Politics Magazine, Pennsylvania Super Lawyers - “Rising Stars 2006”edition. Rising Stars are chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics as being among the top-up-and-coming lawyers in the Commonwealth. Only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania attorneys receive this honor each year.
Prior to joining Obermayer in 1994, Mr. Oberkircher was a member of the Capital Markets Section, Division of Research and Statistics of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington D.C. While there, he was involved in research and analysis of financial markets and corporate finance. He assisted in briefings of the Board of Governors and Federal Open Market Committee, as well as the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets, congressional testimony and hearings.
Mr. Oberkircher is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
