Danielle Lopez is an associate with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department.
Ms. Lopez concentrates her practice in commercial and civil litigation.
Prior to joining Obermayer, Ms. Lopez was appointed Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia through the Mayor John F. Street Honors Program. She worked in the Commercial Litigation Unit for nearly four years. Ms. Lopez handled litigation including, condemnation and adverse possession matters, indemnification and insurance claims, and challenges to the City’s collection of licensing fees and non-tax sources of revenue. For two years, Ms. Lopez served as Law Clerk to the Honorable M. Teresa Sarmina in the Criminal Division of the Court of Common Pleas. She also clerked for the Honorable Rayford A. Means, Criminal Division-Court of Common Pleas.
Ms. Lopez earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Law from Temple University and was awarded her Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law. She received her MBA from Temple University, Fox School of Business & Management where she was on the Dean’s List for Outstanding Academic Achievement in the MBA Program and became a Beta Gamma Sigma, National Honor Society for Business Scholars member. Ms. Lopez was also an NCAA Division 1 scholar athlete in softball at Temple.
Ms. Lopez is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Hispanic Bar Association and is proficient in Spanish.
She is admitted to practice in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court of New Jersey.
