 J. Richard Greenstein is of counsel with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Business & Finance Department.
Mr. Greenstein concentrates his practice in the areas of taxation, employee benefit plans, corporations, including operations and transactions, intergenerational transfer of assets, estate planning and administration and real estate including transactions and leasing.
Mr. Greenstein received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Cornell University. He was awarded his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University.
Prior to joining Obermayer in July 2007, Mr. Greenstein was a partner for 18 years with Hepburn Willcox Hamilton & Putnam in Philadelphia. He was also a tax partner for 23 years with Greenstein, Gorelick, Silverman & Price.
His professional activities include: Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, Tax Supper Club, Philadelphia Bar Association (Tax Section) and the American Bar Association (Tax Section-Employee Benefit Committee).
He serves on the West Conshohocken Borough Zoning Hearing Board and is on the Board of the Albert Strickler Memorial Fund. He served for four years on the Haverford Township School Board.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Tax Court.
