 Eileen Kelly Keefe is an associate with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. She is a member of the Litigation Department.
Ms. Keefe’s practice includes medical malpractice defense of doctors, nurses, and facilities as well as commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Obermayer, Ms. Keefe practiced as an associate at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin.
Ms. Keefe is named as a 2010 Pennsylvania’s “Rising Stars” as listed in both the Philadelphia magazine (June 2010) and the Thomas Reuters, Legal magazine, “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers®” (June 2010 edition). Rising Stars are chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Thomas Reuters, Legal as being among the top-up-and-coming lawyers in the Commonwealth. Only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania attorneys receive this honor each year.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Villanova University, Villanova, PA where she received the “Thesis of the Year” award in Political Science, 2000. In 2004, she earned her Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and served as the board's chairperson during the 2003-2004 academic year.
Her recent publications include: George v. Ellis: The Next Wave of MCARE Interpretation, The Defense Digest; Vol. 13, no.1, March ’07. Her presentations include: “AIC Dental Implant Conference 2007: Legal Considerations for Dentists Performing Implant Procedures."
Ms. Keefe also served as a housing aid counselor for St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center, a non-profit group, located in Baltimore, MD, while a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corp in 2000-2001.
Ms. Keefe is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
